“ Just a pint of the excelent "three tuns" cask beer in the Blue Boars sun trap beer garden. Service v.good, didnt eat. ”
“ Flat Eric came here twice with us in the " year the world went insane" aka 2020. We like the pub as it has a Cask Marque for the 4 real ales on handpump. I had the Hobson's Town Crier golden ale. They also sell the rare Three Tuns brewery beer from Bishop's Castle. Several dark rooms plus a lovely rear courtyard. A pub also selling food at lunchtime and evening from 6pm. Never eaten here but will give it 5* for the beer. Ic and Flic still on wine. ”
“ Six of us had five different mains and I was coveting all the others' choices. Don't choose the sausages option. No complaints but it was average and unfulfilling. The Thai waitress was brilliant and a good evening was had by all ”
“ Six of us went in on a Saturday lunchtime hoping to be fed. Staff couldn't have been more welcoming. My wife is gluten free so went for the chicken souvlaki which she loved, while the rest of us had fish and chips. Also excellent. And good value. Good beer and wine bumped up our average spend considerably, but, over all, well worth it. ”
“ What a pleasant surprise!! We popped in for an impromptu lunch, and didn't know what to expect, but all the food we ordered was so good. Perfect, super tasty scotch egg with runny middle, macaroni cheeses with mushrooms ( 10/10 for flavour. ”
“ First time eaters. Well, just got me self a new job and the Mrs wanted to go out for food to celebrate. Spent the best part of 2hrs deliberating where to go and settled on here. Warm welcome from bar staff. Had starters and mains. Great food at a decent price. Would have taken pics of food, but was starving and pretty much inhaled it. Sausage and mas oh and a spag boll. Here's a pic of an empty glass of proper poured Guinness! ”
“ Brilliant place, good choice of food and drinks. The staff are friendly and accommodating. A big plus for us it’s dog friendly. We both had the Chicken Souvlaki would recommend. They have a secluded courtyard you can eat in on those sunny days ”
“ Beautiful old building in the town centre. Lovely layout inside, friendly staff and great service - really enjoyed our food and drink. Something for everyone. ”
